Wie man aus Sibirischer Iris ein Paar seeeehr langer Armstulpen macht. How to turn Iris sibirica into a pair of veeery long arm spats.

Seht Euch nur dieses satte, samtige, leckere Violet und dieses animalische Muster im Zentrum der Blütenblätter an. Diese Sibirische Iris hatte mich regelrecht elektrisiert, als ich sie auf der kargen Erde im März entdeckt habe. Sie blühte in dieser Farbe und ausserdem in Gelb und einem irritierenden Blaugrau am Steinhang des Merianparks Brüglingen.

Just look at this deep, velvet, delicious violet and the animal-print like pattern in the petals center. I was literally electrified when discovering this Iris sibirica on the cold and plain ground in march. It bloomed in yellow and a quite irritating somehow greyish blue at the stony hillside of the Merianpark Brüglingen



Ich habe sie fotografiert und im ersten Schritt am Computer frei gestellt.

I took it's picture and later edited it by removing the background.




Danach wurden sie auf dem Template für Stulpen arrangiert.

Afterwards I arranged them on the arm spats template.



Ich habe sehr lange mit dem Druckfond experimentiert und mich für zwei Colorits entschieden.
"Dark Iris" hat einen Farbverlauf von nougat nach pflaume. Die Silhoutten der Iris durchbrechen den Fond. Für "Wild Iris" wurde ein gelber Farbverlauf dagegen gelegt.

It took me quite a long time experimenting with the background. Finally I decided to create the flower's outline. "Wild Iris" features a yellow colour gradient laying over the dark gradient.

These are the print templates.




"Dark Iris" hat am unteren Saum einen kontrastigen korallroten Paspelabschluss. Für "Wild Iris" habe ich einen zitronengelben gewählt.

"Dark Iris" features a contrasting coral red elastic paspoile at it's hem. For "Wild Iris" I chose one in colour lemon.
