Photoshop Till You Drop, Part I

Für die Online Präsentation meiner Choker und Bows habe ich lange Zeit Figurinen benutzt. Damit kann sich natürlich kein Mensch identifizieren. Fotos von echten Menschen, die an echten Hälsen meine echten Choker und Bows tragen mussten her. Glücklicherweise habe ich solche echten Menschen in meinem Freundeskreis und einige davon sind bereit für mich Modell zu stehen. Dafür bin ich äusserst dankbar.

Letzten Samstag hatte ich die ersten Shootings mit Objekten, die sich bewegen. Üblicherweise fotografiere ich ja Florales. Das war nun eine völlig neue Situation. Jetzt weiss ich: Fotografen und Models haben einen echt harten Job. Und einen schönen.

Ich hatte mir aber auch gleich was aufgehalst: als Einstand habe ich an einer Freundin drei Choker in drei komplett verschiedenen Sets fotografiert. Meine neueste Creation "I'm The One You Want" gibt es in drei verschiedenen Farbstellungen. Klar, mussten dafür drei verschiedene Inszenierungen geschaffen werden. Das war nachmittags von eins bis halb vier. Und am Abend um acht hatte ich bereits das nächste Model eingeladen.

Den gesamten Sonntag und die darauf folgenden Abende (jeweils bis Mitternacht) habe ich mit Retusche (der Kopierstempel von Photoshop ist toll, toll, toll) und Überarbeitung verbracht: photoshop till you drop.

Das sind die Ergebnisse des Nachmittagsshootings. Und bei dieser Gelegenheit will ich meinem Model sagen: Du bist echt talentiert! Es war super!






I've been using a sketched figurine for presenting my chokers and bows online. But that's just too steril. So I decided to make pictures of real people with real necks wearing my real chokers and bows. I'm lucky to have found these real people among my friends - and they are willing to model. I'm so gratful!

So for the first time in my life I took pictures from objects that actually move. That was last Saturday. Usually I shoot florals. That was quiet a new experience. Now I see: being a photographer or a model is a though job. And a cool one, too.

Well, I was giving myself a hard time anyway. I started with the shooting of my latest creation "I'm The One You Want" which I had designed in three different colourways. That obviously asked for three different settings. We worked from one to half past three in the afternoon and at eight p.m. I expected my next model to come.

The entire Sunday and the following evenings (until midnight) I spent with retouching and making-over: photoshop till you drop.

Above you can see the results of that Saturday afternoon. And I'd like to mention, that my friend is really really talented! We had a great time!
